These were done at lake Panic in the Kruger National Park here in South Africa.
I had the Sigma 170/500 on the 20D for these at ISO 1600 for faster shutterspeed.
I wanted to catch the little Malachite Kingfisher in flight (about the same size as a hummingbird), but had no luck, maybe next time..
