A guy was waiting at home, he swung a metal pole then took 3 left turns and on his way back home there was a masked man waiting for him. What is he doing and who is the masked man?

John, Paul & Peter are the names of fish. The cat knocked the fish bowl off the table/shelf, broke the bowl and killed the fish. Hence, dead fish, glass and water.

Actually, I'm a former teacher of Gifted/Talented students and used these exercises on a daily/weekly basis. We did so much thinking outside the box that I have to work on keeping my ideas near the box.

You didn't say the box had to remain. Picky, picky.
