I didn't know Diane, but just knowing that a loved one left this world so much before her time saddens me deeply. My heartfelt condolences, Chris. I'm so very sorry.

How wonderful the time that you had to spend with her! And how wonderful that you have that beautiful son to always have a part of her to hug! I am touched by your sorrow in missing her. You and your family are in my prayers.

Why did I feel such personal, overwhelming sadness as I read this thread?? I did not know her. I was familiar with her username on DPC, but I don't remember directly interacting with her. She was 43 years young, my wife's age. She was one of us and after reading Chris' words, I see that she was much more than most of us. I'm left thinking that if I am feeling this amount of sadness, I can't imagine - and couldn't bear to - how much grief Chris and the family are going through.

Strange as it sounds, Chris, the enormity of your loss is felt across the globe. Tears and prayers are all I have to offer. God bless.

Exactly what I was trying to say.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your loving tribute to your wife with us. My mother battled breast cancer 12 years ago and, due to early detection, was thankfully able to fight it off.

It's nice to see she tried to give you a smile with the Eric Idle song. She must have cared for you a great deal. For someone to try to make another happy in such a situation, one can only assume that she spent many of her quiet moments enjoying the happinesses you both enjoyed. That will always be with you to cherish.

She feels no pain now.

Building such a tribute is a wonderful way for her to be remembered for a long time.

It's so very sad to hear about your loss. I was moved to tears by your tribute, Chris. As someone else mentioned, Tasha4paws will be missed here at DPC - both your tribute and her presence has affected many of us. I'm just one more person from another part of the world wishing you and your family strength and peace.
