You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know that may sound like a hollow gesture to you right now, but it is genuinely heartfelt by me (and I'm sure everyone else here too). You wrote a beautiful tribute to your life partner and loving wife. Thank you for sharing such a personal story. God bless...

I'm crying for a life taken too soon and for the beloveds she left behind. Her spirit is soaring and each time you see a beautiful sunset or the drop of water on a leaf, just encase it in your field of vision and know that she might be presenting it to you as a living photograph from a world beyond.

My deepest heartfelt thoughts to you, Chris.

Chris,

My deepest thoughts are with you and your family in this difficult time. I know that I can speak for my wife and I when I say we can understand what you are going through. My wife lost her mother to breast cancer when she was only 8 and I lost my mother to the same when I was 18. My family’s prayers will be for you and your family in this difficult time.

God bless,

Steve Arnoldus and family

Chris,
Your letter about your wife is a wonderful eulogy to her strength and courage, your love for her extends beyond the written word and deep into our hearts...words cannot express comfort but I can say that her life with you was well lived; it is evident in all you say. Live the rest of your life as she would, enjoying every day and every moment...

Dear Chris,

I'm sorry to read about your loss and ours as an online community, not to say "family".

I survived 9/11/2001 in NYC and overcame a terrible, life threatening depression this summer. On 9/11/2005 I had been "back among the living" for more than a month, drug free and happier than ever before.

I'm terribly saddened to read that your wife passed away and didn't stand a chance to overcome her own life taking illness.

This place (DPC) has given me so much, especially in the days, weeks and months after 9/11 and again after this year's existential crisis. I hope you find the strength and passion to keep your work appearing on this wonderful site - it's the best medicine against grief and desperation that I've found anywhere outside my closest circle of family and friends.

All the best to you and your family,
Bruno
