Thanks Justin - I think just about anything would have done better than my Portrait entry - LOL! Congrats again on your ribbon and a beautiful series of shots.

Idnic - I think you made the right choice (but what do I know?!?).

I love the second one... may be my favorite out of the bunch. The tones and pose of the model in the last one is also VERY nice. I was originally drawn to this one at first, however I'm just not a big fan of the heavy softness in the corners. Either way they are all very good. Your model is great with some amazing eyes.

ps. And SJ... I think your outtake would have done much better too.

Idnic I prefer your first outake for portrait - the face has more character and there is less distraction from the face by other elements such as the cigar.

elsapo I really love both the portrait pics. They each have their own value the first because it is almost candid but beautifully composed and the other one because she looks so abandoned and the shot fills the frame with so much movement.

I have had some good comments for this shot that for various reasons I didn't enter into High Contrast.

Please could you say if :-
1 it is high contrast or not
2 how you think it would have scored
3 Is it worth putting in as a print (I have never done this before and don't know if this is up to standard)
Any views appreciated!

Riponlady I think your horse photo would have done well in the High Contrast challenge! Its definetly a great photo! I really can't tell you what kind of score because that you never know until you enter ;)... and by the comments you've been receiving you should set up a print :)
