A nice feature for the site would be a preference setting where comments left on photos after the challenge is over could be emailed to the photographer...

i was also thinking something similar. there should be a way to see recent (post-contest) comments left on all pictures. (like with the forum post)

The problem with that is that most of them will be congrats on [blah blah] place!... Rather than actual useful comments

What's the problem?? Everyone wants kudos! To have them delivered to your inbox is even better!
I say we do it. Critique Club critiques would also be delivered as well, which perhaps many people miss.

I meant on the front page, all the critiques from the weekend would quickly be flushed out by congrats comments the following morning on other photos

There is a major problem with having extra stuff e-mailed to my Hotmail inbox. 2MB and then Hotmail dumps anything else coming in. Leave your computer for a couple of days and you will probably miss some important mail because the box was full.
If we are interested in comments, it is certainly easy enough to find them. |

A counter or something similar on our profile pages would be a cool feature. Kinda like what DA does to let you know you received a comment.

If email notice that you received a comment was technically possible, it would be near the top of my Christmas wish list :) Right below a Blue Icon with sunglasses :)

Delphi and other bulliton boards have email notices for responces on threads. I should think the same type program attached to our home page/photo list should certainly be adaptable. ???? Kind of wandered why this forum didn't but oh well.

An option would be to have the "date of last comment" shown after the picture on the list under your profile. All you would have to do then is go to your profile and review those dates to see whether any comments had been made recently.
I haven't had time to submit and vote in the last month and won't for another month or so. However, i do like to leave comments on some post-challenge pictures that i happen to stumble on somehow. Some of these pictures are quite old and i have wondered whether the photographer ever notices these comments. It was by total chance that i discovered a post challenge comment on one of my pictures.
