THESE PHOTOS are my outtakes for the Corporate World challenge.

I did not submit a photo this week. I had a couple problems that kept me from submitting.

1 - The challenge topic did not interest me.

I'm not saying it's not a good topic, because it is. It just did not motivate me to find and execute a decent photograph.

2 - Since the challenge didn't spark my interest, I spent my available time chasing a bad idea (shown in the photos above).

These are only the better samples of a bad idea.. lol..

The "something old" challenge will be fun :) Good luck to all :)

I think those are good John and I would have scored any of the variations well.

Maybe its just me or because it's my job but a lot of the times when I see a photo and it makes me think it would be a great illustration for an article I like it even better.

I definitely see this photo being used at the front of a newpaper or magazine article/editorial or part of a collage.

I was going to title this shot one of the following:

Fuzzy Logic
New School Accounting
Color By Numbers
Fudge Factor

you know.. some decent title to prop up the photo... lol... maybe this:

"People are adding numbers rong to make it look like we have more money than we really do"

:)

Here's the gag photo I was going to post.

Bottoms Up

Not sure about the title...

Jim I liked the idea for your picture, I would have like to seen the paper on fire as to destroy your accounting error :0

After having finally looked over the entries this week, I'm just as glad I didn't enter the ducks. WAY too many gag shots...

I think I was sort of expecting cynical shots this week, especially with the way the challenge was worded. My favorite shot this week is quite cynical... cynical in a way that even dum NC redneck can understand :)

Not sure this will make sense, but I think this would have worked real well if you were writting in a ledger instead of blank paper. Nice title could have been "New Math".

Of course, they are better than anything I've done as is, so...

Or: "Harvard MBA Math".

I like those pics, John. Simple and very effective, even without any title. The broken lead of the pencil is a nice touch.

At the risk of being critical - I think the idea is a little 'obvious' and while it would be fine for an article illustration it's not exactly art.

Are my standards too high?
