Hi Angie. I like the shot. It still looks too orange to me...and now oversharpened...?
edit:
Here's my go at it:

yeah it is pretty sharp in the new one. id take that away. maybe you could ad some white light to it. i think that might get a nice effect. |

I think ButterflySis did a great job with editing. |

My version... adjusted saturation/hue a tiny bit and sharpened just the little brown thingies... ;)

If its color cast that you are playing with...check out this freebie filter program Photo Filter, it will let you apply filters (similar to stock Hoya, Cokin and Kodak filters) after the shot has been taken... I have enhanced/saved many shots using this little gem.

I don't know what color cast is. The only thing I did to the original was some contrast
The second one I just used USM on the brown things
I didn't adjust the hue or color of the original, that's just the color of the flower
Ok Here is a new one
Usm on brown things
hue saturation
gothic glow
soft light
What do you think now?
Good? Better?

Yes, very nice. I like the softness and the colors. I still think the stamens(?) look oversharp. I'm not sure if you sharpened or if it's the 'gothic glow' that's doing that. Everything else looks good though. |

Hey, thanks, I like this much better too! Those brown things are a pain in the waazoo, just won't do what I want!

LOL, if it's the glow that's making them look oversharp applying it to everything but them...or apply it to everything and use the history brush on them to remove it.
Also, I've been using USM at the following settings lately and it seems to work well.
Percent - 40-50
Radius - 1
