Has anyone ever purchased anything from www.adorama.com? I'm about to purchase a lens from there, but I haven't heard much about the site's reputation. Ken Rockwell had a link to it on his lens review site.

| I've bought stuff from them. After placing my order they phoned me on a Sunday morning to ask if I wanted extra batteries or other lenses or warranties etc. I said no and it took a few days for them to send the lens 'in case I changed my mind on the other stuff'. But once it was shipped it was fine. |

I've only purchased from Adorama. They are equivalent to B&H. I've never purchased online (in-store only) from B&H though. Good service, price, and product. I've been happy.
Edit: Like moodville, they phoned me after placing two orders. I can't remember the first reason, but the second time was to see if I wanted a filter for the lens I bought. I must say their phone etiquette isn't great...at least with me. Instead of saying filter he would insist that I needed "protection" and said it in the implied tone several times. Annoying and inappropriate. The first call was had inuendos as well.

Here is there latest rating. Last six months don't look to good but you can read the reviews. Hope this helps. Compared to B&H photo.

| I ordered from them and got a phone call also. At the time I needed the things suggested, but I really hate it when stores do that so I've never ordered from them again. B&H is the "perfect" online store. But I just bought a lensmate from lensmate online and it's a shame I can't order more often from them. I ordered on Friday afternoon and had the product on Monday morning. Wow! |

| Just made my first purchase from them. It took a day longer to process than I expected, but no calls and the order was procesed correctly. |

| I only order from Adorama. Love them. I have never received a phone call other than to confirm a large online order. |
