Can I put in a negative vote for the lifecycle one? I just think it's blah compared to the others, which I really really love.

My favourites are Sunset Bow and Autumn Tapestry...but perhaps Sunset Bow and Geometry in Steel are a bettery pair for showing.

Have fun!

I think I'd take the opportunity to showcase your diversity rather than worry about one from each style being discordant but... it depends on the show - only you know more about that.

I'd opt for ONE from these two...

...plus ONE from these three.

I know this one wasn't one of your choices but it is very dramatic and the colours go with one or two of the other abstracts you've selected to choose from.

I agree with Kavey, show the range of your talent. I would go with:

and

To bad you can only choose two as you could add two more to really show the depth of your range. Good luck.

My pick would be
and
I find those to be the most interesting for the viewer. They are those which hold me a bit longer then others while looking.

Thanks so much everyone; I really appreciate all the suggestions.

I've been out most the day and evening--now I'm back to work on it. Unfortunately, my test prints (at Walmart) didn't meet my expectations. So I've got some more work to do!

Hey, Neil. First off, congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I wish I had seen this thread and replied sooner. Could you tell us what the exhibition is for? I mean, is it to show off your work, will they choose a winner, will they choose pics to display in their offices...? Just wondering what the purpose of the show is for the professionals and/or for your yourself? The intention of the exhibit would play a role in which images I would choose.

If not too late, here are my picks.

Sunset Bow has been a long time favorite for me. It's beautiful and well composed. The colors are soothing.

Since you mentioned mental health professionals, I think abstracts might be a nice choice. In that case I would go with:

and

Good luck and please let us know how it goes!

I like Flowing the best, followed by Sunburst... second choice from among the ones you listed is Soft Radiance.

Yes I like abstracts :)...

I just love love love sunset bow.... :-)

But your abstracts are beautiful too and you seem to have a niche with them, here anyways... so if you were to go that route I'd pick these:
and

But I'm sure my thoughts are a little late on this and you've already made your choices. But please let us know what you went with and how things go. It sounds very exciting Neil. Congratulations! :-)

Afternoon bump so those I'm thanking can see it!
----------------------------------

Thanks again everyone. I've been quiet in the forums this week as I am very busy finishing up a project at work, but I did manage to get some nice prints out of Walmart's Fuji Crystal printing, and then after getting good copies of many of these finally printed, went with the "diversity" approach and these two shots:

Again, let me just reiterate what a great bunch of people you are! Thanks for helping me out!

How the heck do you do those awesome effects?

Thanks. It's basically trial and error! The more you try to move the camera in different ways while shooting, at different subjects, the more you kind of get a feel for what works. But you still can't really get a good preview of the effect in camera, so you need to try some things, offload and look at them on the computer, then go back to it!
