I entered 4 pictures in a photography contest at the Museum. Tonight is the open house where they present the winners. The winners pictures will hang in the museum, on display until July 23rd. I took the kids to the museum today for our monthly MOMS Club business meeting and one of the moms asked me if I saw my picture. Of course I hadn't and I looked over at the wall and I clearly saw one of them had a ribbon, blue. So I looked for the other three and guess what, another blue, a red and a white. I got two first place ribbons, one second and one third.
I am so excited I can't stand it.

congrats!!! what an accomplishment!IMO that deserves a celebration dinner provided by the kids. but if thier cooking is anything like my girls u may want to go out and celebrate;o)

I can share three, and yes they are in my portfolio. Two just as they are and then my free study picture reworked.
First place
Second place
Third place
and I can't share the other first place as it is too similiar to one I currently have in a challenge.
Thank you all, I am on cloud nine. I still can't believe it. I thought if only one wins and is displayed I will be thrilled, just wanting to get my name out there. But for all four to win, just blows me away.

Hubby just asked if I wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate. Absolutely!!! My kids are 4 and 7, no way am I eating what they could create in a kitchen.
Just wanted to add this. It is because of all you guys and your honesty in your comments that I was able to do this. I have been taking what I learn and actually applying it to my work. So, thank you all for helping me to get to this point. I am so glad I found this website.

WTG Teresa! I can't imagine how that must feel, but I bet it feels pretty doggone good! :-)
Well deserved ribbons, and I can't wait to see the fourth (after the challenge is over). You deserve a night out on the town from your spouse & kids, so go enjoy!!!

Seriously, I am very happy for you. I remember seeing the second and liking it. But I think the third is better. And thanks for respecting the challenge and not showing the other one. Please remind us of it when the voting is over.
