Family Shoot

I had a challenging shoot yesterday with a large extended family. I did manage however to get 1 or 2 really good kid shots...

What do you think overall?

Great work Danny. Those large groups are a pita. I did a family of 14 the other day, which was my first bigger group.

Excellent work!! I know the family will be proud of all of those, regardless of how painful it was to get them!!!

I especially love:

That face just makes me laugh out loud! :o)

That's a LOT of red hair - Mendal was right about genetics, I guess.

Nicely done, Danny. Large groups are indeed a PITA. The fact that you got them to coordinate all of their outfits really paid off. I try to stress how important this is to my clients, and it sucks when they come wearing stripes, checks, solids of all different colors since you know from the outset the pictures already have one thing working against them.

I think you definitely got some nice shots, and I'm sure the customer will be quite pleased. A ladder might have helped for the shot on the steps so you wouldn't have to be shooting "up" at them. The shot of the grandparents with all the grandkids is very nice! (927, not 928! =])

Thanks for posting. Keep up the great work.

I had brought a ladder, but with the 'hurried' feel, I neglected to pull it out. In retrospect you're right, I should just go with my gut and not let the client rush me.

Thanks,

I love them. You did great and if you don't mind I am going to put a few of your ideas into the back of my mind. You never know. I like the idea of the ladder and must now add one of those to my shopping list. Love that you had them coordinate their outfits. Nice work.
