I might enter this photo in the free study challenge and was wondering what everyone thought of it before hand.

Thanks for your help.

You really can't do this. If you're entering it, delete this post!

yeah take it down before too many people see it. The challenges are meant to be completely anonymous.

Overall I think the image is poor in quality. There is no overall main subject. It appears somewhat underexposed, and just doesn't have a composition that screams vote high. With that being said, enter it, it will help me score higher with my entry :-)

Well, if I were a cheater, I'd tell you to open the image in PS, adjust your curves to bring out more detail in the treeline, perhaps dodge that area a bit, and then do some dodging and burning of the skies to increase the drama. I might even recommend a saturation boost to bring out some colors in the sky behind the clouds. Or I might possibly suggest you go reshoot and get a wider angle to include more of the trees...heck, I might even buy a plane ticket and go shoot with you to be sure you know what I mean.

Of course, I'm not a cheater, so I would never tell you to do anything. I think I'll just say nice shot and good luck in the challenge! ;o)

PS... this is all in good fun folks... relax and have a laugh at my expense!!!

OK, $150, but I must be mad for doing it at that price.

Hope I can find clouds like that in Texas.

From all these bad replies I have realized that I suck at photography and decided to take up knitting. I wish everyone well. If you wish to own a blanket knitted from the love of a lonely 30 year old then e-mail me at itsajoke@knitting.com

For $175 you can use this one. Same framing/ comp so nobody'll notice.
I'll edit the EXIF and send it over.

For those who don't "get it", this thread appears to be rex's commentary on what's being diuscussed in the "Is help OK?" thread: //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=196842
