Hey all, I entered three photos in a state-wide juried exhibition, and I found out today that all three made it into the highly competitive exhibition, and one was selected as one of the half dozen "Merit" awards--which means it didn't place 1st, 2nd or 3rd, but got 4th with a few others.

Here are the three. Can you guess which one got the special award?

. . . . . . . . . .

The exhibition opens on Friday, with eats! That'll be fun! And before I forget: thanks to you all for helping me learn and grow so much on this site! You're the best!

Well number 1 is my clear favourite.... but I get the feeling the judges would have gone with the more artsy rendition that is number 3.

#1 is my pick.

Yeah, #3 has the artsy factor going for it, but my vote is still for #1. If the judges didn't pick that one, they're wrong. ;-)

#1 is fabulous, I's favorite, but me think judge him went with #3.

I think #3, they are all great.

#1!!!

Sorry for arising so late! 7:12 am here in Utah. Of course, those who thought artsy are right! #3 it is!

Look for juried exhibitions in your area. I've found it's a good place to start. Just thinking about the photos to enter, and then preparing them in frames took a long time, but it really made me aware of the whole process. Plus, as I understand it, artwork sells nicely at exhibitions, so it's worth the effort!

Good luck!
