I am sitting here thinking, am I the only photographer on this site under 17? Please prove me wrong, and (it's not that you have to post your age if you don't want to) post "I am" if you are under 18, or "I'm not" if your over 18. Thanks. I want to see if my work compares to other my own age.

If you want, you could put, "I'm sixteen", so I can compare photographs.

Thanks.

I'm a little (way, way, way) older than sixteen, but if you want to compare photos with someone about your age you might check out Zoomdak's photos.

I am younger than 18 and there are a few others too.

hsteg
Zap228
Zoomdak

and Ben or Konador is borderline 18 ;)

So you're not alone...

P.S. Oh, and Jacko acts like a two-year-old :)

I don't think it is a good idea to compare your photos with someone else your age. Everyone has their own direction they are trying to go. To me no good or bad here. Just a bunch of people willing to learn and willing to teach.

Must be hard knowing that some day you might have to share that camera heh...I try to make sure my girlfriend stays interested enough to keep me company when I'm shooting (sometimes) but enough uninterested to not want to be the one clicking the shutter.

oh ... I'm 23

My son Isaac just turned eight, but he did most of his "best work" a couple of years ago ... learning reading and arithmatec have cut into his photogrpahy time quite a bit.

Check out some of his work. He is doing very good. Must be a proud Pappa. I bought my kids a cheap digital camera also. They seem very interested.

I am : )

There's quite a bit more in his pBase Gallery, but he really hasn't been shooting much lately : (

He actually LOST interest when I got him a camera with fewer features than mine -- he got a little frustrated because he didn't have the zoom anymore.

He has had one picture accepted at Shutterstock though : )

There are plenty of young people here - not a huge number in their teens - I guess the expensive nature of this particular hobby puts paid to that. If you are daunted by the quality of the submissions of some of the older users and want to compare your work to people your own age just make sure you don't do what the people above suggested and look at zoomdak or konadors profiles :).

I'm all but over the hill at 22 ;).

Get him a good camera. He deserves it. That is if you can afford it.

I have 3 teenagers - I fully understand the reason for this to be considered a rant ;)

My son, Travis is three, and he has my "little" sony dsc- s30. He's taken some decent shots, but he hasn't joined dpc or entered challenges, yet. :-)

A few of his shots -- Travis's pictures
