Mine is from the Bokeh challenge (8%). I totally missed the concept of "bokeh" but I liked the photo anyways.

I will never forget the meaning of bokeh now!

Haha...I actually gave this a 9. :)

Thanks :) - I thought the connection was relatively apparent.. but maybe the term isn't as well-known as I had thought.. either way, I can see how it did poorly considering the challenge.

the comments were hilarious!

rook 3000, not sure whats going on here but the mood and feel
is fantastic! [only one who got it] :)

not good. ...... LOL!

the true story:- it was 7pm, he had smoked 7 cigarettes and was leaving
before the 7 dwarfs got home.

12% - Waiting, my first DPC entry :)
02/20/2005 06:13:59 AM · #67
I am consistent at low percentiles.

A prime example of a 1%

But, saved the best til last, another 1%...but not a Brown Ribbon! Can't seem to win that?

But it got 30 comments...most good and 1 fav.

Steve

Here is my Brown Ribbon winner - 0%

I only had the 300D for just over a month when I took this and at the time was still experimenting with the beast.

Yeh well I liked this quite a lot and gave it a 6. You should know by now that the majority of folks on this site only like sharp focused standard shots. Any attempt at being 'arty' is doomed on this site!

Bah, tripe in our time. 1%.

2% - "Unusual Viewpoint" challenge.

02/20/2005 08:20:51 AM · #72
one of my favs (brown ribbon)

i also liked MikeOwens shot of the same challenge

mike - what is this a photo of? i just read your comments, and the DQ request was prob because it looks like you painted this in photoshop or something rather than photographing something. i'd be interested in seeing the original.

(incidently, i think these were my two 10's for the challenge :)
02/20/2005 08:53:16 AM · #73
Hi Owen - I dont have the original for the 'Yellow' challenge. It was a photo of a Homer Simpson mug and I just cropped it and adusted the levels. Of course most people thought it was Charlie Brown's jumper!
Anyway, thanks for the comment. It was strange getting a DQ. I had a couple of DQ's in space of 3 challenges, yet before these I had never had a DQ
