OK, so my BOKEH entry wasn't so good. (It ended up scoring exactly at the 50th percentile). But that's not the point here. I accidentally had left the ISO setting at 1600, and out of 10 comments, not one mentioned the noise level. I'm wondering if anyone noticed at all. This camera is amazing, and I'm having a lot of fun with it and DPC!

Yeah I was going to comment on how bad the noise was and that it must be from a Canon camera. ;)

I shot mine at 1600 also and nobody mentioned noise in their comments either. Yours is a nicer shot than it got credit for. Good job.

Hey thanks autool. Looking at the description on your entry, I see that you were intentionally trying to create a grainy effect by shooting at 1600, and the 20D wasn't cooperating. |

Personally I find noise a lot less noticable when looking at an image sized down to DPChallenge entry size.
It would likely be a LOT more obvious in a print or a larger size digital image than the one presented.
