Jason,

Glad to hear that you've found a place to go to, I hope to see you in the near future though!

You could probably gather a crowd in Florida if you promised a ribbon-winning shoot in Bokeh Raton. ;-)

I think "parrothead and the giant footed hopping rats" would make for a pretty sweet hardcore punk band name. Either that or a comedic troupe of kind-hearted misfits... your choice I guess...:P

Just to be clear - the grand or two I was referring to the standard airfare from north america - not my fee to show the landscapes abounding with absurd animals. I'm quite that shamelessly entrepreneurial :).

I'll be in D.C. this weekend, but otherwise I can usually make some weekend time. Ironically, one of the most scenic areas around me is Devil's Den!

Where? I can prolly get time off to meet up with you guys for a bit. Let me know. And JPR- my couch is your couch. You just have to put up with the kittens of doom if you drop by. If this weather keeps up, you can wear shorts this weekend in DC.

Israel is an amazing country with some really beautiful sites.
If you (or anyone else for that matter!) ever get around - drop a word.
You are more then welcome!

One of the few photos I have from a 3-week visit in 1991.

What's astounding (to me, anyway) is just how small it is ... we were lucky enough to have a car to use for a 1-week circuit of the northern half, and caught a ride with neighbors all the way down to the Red Sea, with a stop at the Dead Sea on the way.

I always though bokeh was what you bought at the florist's, or how it smelled ...

At least we weren't offered the translation of the town name : )

I thought about that, believe me, but I'm not sure of my schedule yet. We're going to a christening in Fairfax on Sunday, but we might hit the National Zoo on Saturday if the weather is good.

~LOL~ the size is a HUGE advantage to all american visitors.
When I take my car in the morning and go to the red sea (4 hours drive) for just a half-day trip, and return home in the evening - everybody thinks I've lost my mind. But for americans this is not such a big deal. You can do the entire country from north to south in less then 10 hours drive. But so much to see in between !!!

Yep, I'm back in Rockland County NY after Philadelphia and California for the past 2 years. You're upstate right? We should get together some time.

I will be joining Robert in Cape Cod this weekend and I hope to get together for a shoot with scalvert and possibly blemt at some point after that (maybe the following weekend?). Thanks for all the offers everyone. This thread is now becomming somewhat of a wishlist...wish I could go all these places, wish i had more money, wish i had more time... :)

I'll take both of you - then I am sure to learn something and win a ribbon!

visit beautiful scenic and currently flooded Central Ohio! You can wade in the Scioto River by walking on a sidewalk, or ride along with a fireman in a rescue raft. Marvel at half the county's loss of power and water and the current state of emergency!

Hmm... on second thought, better not come here just yet...
