Tried to comment on your image (it's really nice!) but since PBASE is having such traffic problems right now the page won't load. :o( I'll come back later! :o)

Thanks :)

Pbase has been a pain lately :( Maybe I need to switch to buzznet

I've been doing one since Feb 2004 but started a 'fresh' one as it were over at buzznet with the rest of the crazy buzz crew.

Why is it that when I try the 'Add as a friend' bit I get an error message - "You have to sign up to add friends"? :(
01/02/2005 07:08:56 PM · #60
you're probably not logged in at the time, wobble. maybe your browser didn't save the cookie, so you need to log in.

I've done it now. Not sure it's the way that has been described but it's got people into my list.

Thanks

Now I'm off to bed...

A very dumb question. with a P-A-D, do you really mean to shoot atleast one picture everday ? I mean really shoot like setup and shoot something ?
Or is it a possibility that you shot a few one day and 'process' them atleast one a day ?

Different people do it different ways. The majority of people shoot a new picture every day. It doesnt have to be the best image you've ever done nor does it have to be something you took hours and hours to set up. Some people just shoot things from around the house, or just an image they happen to have taken that day. Some people see it as an opportunity to record what they did that day - a photo journal as it were.

thanks moodville. this sure sounds like a tough job for a lazy person like me, but I think this kind of stuff should help learn. I will give it a try.

My PoD for 2005 I am excited about this, but from the looks of these two days, I may not beable to stick with it. I need to be reminded often to pick up my camera.

Good luck everyone!

I jumped onto the wagon as well. How long my ride will be, who knows. So far, I have found it to be fun. I hope it will teach me to appreciate each day.

Ok, I need some encouragement here:

I too had the PaD plan, but I've been sick as a dog and couldn't even get out of bed yesterday. I suppose I could have dragged myself to the cam and taken a shot of my foot or the ceiling or something like that, but I thought taking random shots of my apartment wouldn't be in the true spirit of a PaD plan.

Can I still have a PaD for 2005, or is it too late?

Sadly,
Ara

How many have a pbase account? I think we should list all that do so we can makes those favorites so we can view and comment easier on each others PAD project, and that way it will be more encouragement to continue, cause it is tough to keep it going sometimes. I'll try my best to keep up with everyone, and for the people who do have pbase will just be that much easier to do so. I already posted mine two posts earlier than this one.

I would say so.... In fact, I would encourage you to do so. I started today, so I am a day late - just uploaded two pictures - one was taken yesterday and one today, but I don't think that is too big of a deal either. Jump on in (and I hope you are feeling better now!)

this is very true. i can tell that the ring of DPCers we have going on buzznet will be much motivation and interest to me over the next year (or more, who knows), because it is so easy to comment on each other, encourage each other, and be motivated to continue because we see everyone else going on with it.. if you can do this on pbase too, i'd really recommend it to all you pbasers (not to be confused with freebasers). bike, certainly join in.. it's never too late to start a PaD project!
