I shot this from about 75 yards away .
What do you think?

A good try, but too danged cluttered. You could live with background clutter, select it out and use a little gaussian to soften it, but there's no practical way around all the junk that's in front of the hawk.

What hawk like vision you have Rando to capture this shot. Great job Laurie on bear's suggestion. This is what's so neat about digital; image manipulation. A creative menage a trois...

Oh, she did more than playw ith "my" suggestion; she found a practical way around the foreground branches as well. Good job Laurie. Kind of neat take on it.

JB,

It's a pity yours lacks critical sharpness... Nice shot otherwise.

One I shot in town near my shop.
This was the Hawk that was stalking the abandoned kitten we now have at home. No lunch for this Hawk, at least not what it had planned anyway.

Here are a few. The first one was from Thursday. The 2nd one I PhotoShopped the hell out of, and the 3rd I should probably redo now that I'm a little more proficient with PS.

lots of good hawk shots here, here is my most recent shot. Shot in on Duck Key down in the Florida Keys. Was about 50 feet away

This is a great shot! Don't need the bird, this tells the story.

Your photos are fantastic. All I could find around here (today) are buzzards.
