Hi,
I've noticed that a number of my entries are receiving comments that they are a little 'soft' The full-size versions are pretty much OK though. Does anyone have any useful tips for sharpening re-sized images so that they retain a sharp look?
An example is my recent entry to 'Yellow' This was taken with a Canon 20D and 17-40L lens, the oriinal image was pretty sharp, but at 600 pixels it looks soft.
Thanks Chris

Unsharp mask at about 100-150%, radius 0.3-0.4, and threshold 0 is great for most photos at DPChallenge size.

Thanks Ben, I'll give it a try on my next challenge entry (Which will be nothing if not pin sharp!! :-) )

You have to do the last sharpenign AFTER resizing to the final 640xYY size.

If you haven't at least read through the "DPC Workflow" described in this tutorial, I'd suggest doing so. It can really improve the web presentation of your shots submitted to the challenges.
