Go Fuji, I have Sony, Canon, and Nikons, but still use my S2 most of the time. |

Here are two similar shots I took with the S5100. They've been in my portfolio for a while now. I had a lot fun doing the quick shutter thing... Check out the two different splashes, let me know wich one you guys like better. The "almost" solitary one of the color one or the more chaotic reaction of the black and white one...

The second one is better only because of that splash that you caught looks a lot better than the first. good job. Wish I could post some I shot today but it'll give away my entry in the upcoming challenge :-D |

Not sure about yours, but my 602 has 3 settings in camera for sharpness. After much testing by fuji users, set it to SOFT (the least in-camera sharpening). Then thr first thing to do in PS is USM 500%, .1, 0 or very close to that (like 400%, .1, 7 or less). For printing DO NOT do any final USM work, especially if sending to a fuji machine (like walmart etc). |

I just saw something kinda weird (coincidence most likely) that I just thought I had to point out. I was looking at bestagents portfolio and... Here are two pictures that really caught my attention...
Now those two underneath are from my portfolio...
What a coincidence! Great minds think alike. Note that "Nocturnal Foliage" was shot with a "cheap" FinePix A201.
I'm calling out to S5100 owners who have not posted in this thread to share their work and feedback on the camera. Keep this thread alive! But hey! Comments from others are welcome (hope that's okay with deapee!)

Do..um...do..do you think.........hmmmmm.....I can play in your sandbox too? I know my S5000 was dug up in a cave just outside of Bethlehem but maybe you might adopt me? I will stand guard at the gate and make sure that we are not attacked by either the Nikon or Canon menace!! |

Ivo's bio:
Yeah.....this is fun. Seems to be drawing me away from my other passion, fly fishing. Thats okay since the fish need a break from me anyhow. Looking forward to submitting lots of shots in the upcoming century and figure that I may actually win a ribbon sooner or later.
Thanks for reminding me that I got a collection of flies that I made myself... Always looking for something neat to shoot around the appartment! Macro shots of small, colorfull flies... Thanks!
