I'm pretty sure they also sell under other names with WORSE ratings (Royal Camera is Express Camera I think)

Yup, they're nasty! Awful! Horrible!
Stick with B&H (or equivilant) - you'll pay more but you'll actually GET what you pay for without any BS.

I've had good experiences with Canoga camera.
and Hunts camera.
I've also heard Samy's was good.

| newegg- if they have the brand you are looking for. They have a limited selection, but are very good at getting your order out. I've had very good service with them. They are right under BH in my book. |

| I'd second New Egg if they have what you're looking for. Check the return policy on whatever you're buying, sometimes you can only exchange for the same exact item but they have excellent customer service and pretty good prices. |

I bought a camera, flash and 2 lenses from cameta.com, they use ebay as their storefront. Very good prices and service.

I paid $943 with shipping, $100 rebate and then I used AMEX best value guarantee for anothe $250 back, which I got on Friday. Total cost $593AMEX |

Adorama jerked me around a bit with my order and then sent me the order after I cancelled it and they confirmed cancellation, but I heard that I am one in many so I won't blame them as a whole.
I can vouch for Samy's. There are 2 in LA that I go to (West LA and Pasadena). I like them both! They have excellent service, very fast and friendly.
I can also vouch for BuyDig. My sister got her camera from them, great price, very fast shipping, no hassle and a good warranty! :)
