Thanks for the wonderful feedback and information about my Bizarre Nature entry...I thought you might like to see the original to get a scale of the size of this "fairy ring." It's not anything like that 3 1/2 mile one in Oregon, but it's the biggest one I've seen in person. It's one of those things that I couldn't figure out a "good" angle from which to photograph...but I guess it's bizarre-ness beat out it's lack of technical prowess. I certainly thought it was bizarre! Thanks to GeneralE and to ajschmidt for the facts! :o)

Of course, they're really formed after a flying saucer has landed there and left space dust on the ground.... ;-P |

Wasn't it recently determined that one of these was the largest living thing on earth?? And its top secret where is actually is??? |
