Neglected and Run Downby HeavyComment: Too much negative space. When I finger crop it a little off the top and right, it becomes a more potent shot!

Scar-Hearted Angelby BShawnComment: I actually like the shot, but do not understand what is supposed to be said with the selective desat. It doesn't seem to fit the image or the title. It's an element that doesn't make sense.

Unhingedby ranoutComment: This is one of the nicest 'way to small' photos I've ever seen. Too bad it isn't big enough to see!

Lights Outby Prof_FateComment: This is by far the best I've seen in this challenge to date, but it seems to me to be missing something. I can't put my finger on it. It's like I'm reading a story but an important chapter has been torn out. You know it's important, but you don't know what it is...

Bedroom Breezeby KDOComment: This reminds me of my stays as a kid at my Amish relatives home. Very simple decore. Very simple lifestyle. Wanna keep cool? Open the window. Smell the breeze? Smell the kerosene lamp? I can! Very nice shot!
Too bad people are leaving negative comments about the noise and the soft focus. Both effects add to this shot a feeling of simpler things and work very well here. Both effects are looked down upon by the DPC community which is a terrible shame!

Candle in the windby lacuceComment: Very difficult shot to make pop with the white candle, bright flame, and dark background. What might help capture the exposure without the blown out flame and candle. Much more light. Use the black background, but light it up much more. This will allow you to get your exposure time down enough to capture the detail of the flame and wax without so much blown out. You may have to play around with exposure compensation (moving it to the plus side to speed up the shutter). Oh and your red border is really distracting...
