Great lines, anticlimatic ending. Put a person on their cell phone or something like that in front of the sign and ya got something! Also it's too bad you have what Ansel Adams used to call a bald headed sky. A few dramatic clouds and this would be the bomb!

GREAT IDEA, but you have too much in the shot IMHO. If you would have cropped landscape style just about the rear disc and just below the back tire you would have a much simpler composition. Also, is this your bike? If so you shoulda arranged it so you didn't have such distracting objects so close to the end point of your leading lines. (the barrels and other bikes...)

Great composition but bad time of day to try to capture this shot. I even like your use of a square crop which often doesn't work well. But the lighting is horribly harsh causing to dark of shadows and blown out highlights. Try reshooting a couple of hours before sunset or a couple of hours before sunrise and I bet this would be an awesome shot!

I think I see what you are trying to do with this shot, but it's not horribly interesting of a composition overall. Your lines are kinda confusing. My eye has no where to rest. The time of day was not the optimal for this shot. The harshness of the light makes shadows that do not add to the composition. The shot is also crooked. Not enough to be artsy, but enough to be distracting.

Nice capture. Two things bother me about it though. It looks to be quite soft. I'm a fan of soft focus shot in general, but I don't see where it adds to this composition. The foreground is also quite dark and I find this to be a tad bit distracting here. When I cyber crop this into a square by scrolling up a bit, the composition is much stronger. Oops, I guess that was three things.

This shot has a very classic feel to it. Nice simple tonality! What bride is this? Golden Gate? If so it's unusual to see it done in B/W.

Pretty scene! I'm trying to decide if I like the shadowlines running right down the middle of the shot. It's definately different. Is this a location you can reshoot? If so, try putting the camera at more unusual levels like down lower. I know it's hard on the knees, but you can get different feelings from the shot by doing so.

Very nicely done! You have leading lines that are very subtle and work on the mind in a very unconscious way. This is what I believe is much more effective usage of the compositional style that is called leading lines.

Oh yeah, great misty tonality. My only small complaint is that the ground is so much darker than the rest of the shot and kinda unballances the overall cold feeling...

Interesting composition! I would love to see the original though. Your treatment here looks very unnatural. Your sky doesn't match the lighting of the rest of the image and I don't recall ever seeing a pickled beet red sky before...
