Happy Pillsby rll07Comment: This is a fun little shot. Just a couple of suggestions, take 'em or leave 'em: The shadow under the Anacin bottle is a little too dark, if there's a way to soften it a little I think that would work a little better (don't get me wrong, I do think the shadow is important as it illustrates the fact that the bottle and pills are in the air, but it's just a little overpowering IMHO); also, perhaps if you could find a more mood-altering type of medication (such as St. Johns Wort?) than aspirin, I think it would have more impact. Other than that, I like the playfulness of the shot and title. |

Chemistry of a Cigaretteby tommy_tComment: This is a great anti-smoking campaign shot. I like that you have the text slightly angled and the cigarette straight on. The lighting is good but I'm not sure about the focus being soft on the cigarette. It's not too bad and the clarity of the words seems good, but I'm wondering if it would be a little better if the cigarette itself were a little crisper. No matter. I still like the concept a great deal. 8 |

Photosynthesisby banmornComment: This is a beautiful up-close capture of an autumn leave--very appropriate for this time of year. I love the detail you captured, particularly the veins of the leaf and the colors fading into each other. |

Haematologyby crabappl3Comment: Kind of a cool abstract. Even though it doesn't scream "Science" to me (haven't the foggiest idea what Haematology is), I like the colors and lighting and I like the clarity of the droplet (is that what it is?) so that you can see the little air bubbles floating around in there. You get points just for making me linger here trying to figure out what this is! ;-) |

I got it!by silverleafComment: This has good potential (great colors and use of sunlight) but that pole is really distracting and I think maybe a little more of the person's body, or maybe even his arms in the air pulling him more into the shot, would have been better. I like the angle you shot from though, getting the underbelly of the frisbee that way. |

First Fairy flight.....by agwrightComment: This is so unique and your title is wonderful. I like how the lighting captures so much detail of the seed feathers and how you captured the one lone seed taking flight. Very nice. |

Pigeonsby rickhd13Comment: This is so interesting. It looks almost like a painting. I love how the flock of birds is spackled across the sky in such a random flurry and what I suppose is actually an overexposure causing the clouds to seem so stark (I'm not a photographer so I don't know techniques, all I really know is the affect and I like it here). I wish your title was as creative as the shot. ;-) |

Future Pilot by SonifoComment: Wow, I feel like I've been transported back in time! This is just wonderful. I love the textures in both the field and the sky which make the smooth lines of the airplane and the boy really stand out. I also like that the moment you captured this shot, the plane was right in front of the one real break in the clouds, brightening it up and almost giving the impression that it's what parted the sky. Good luck with the challenge. |

Flight at Sunsetby sherryk471Comment: This is a nice capture. I like the red tones and the halo affect behind the head of the rear horse. I wish the photo were a little larger so I could better see some of the detail since it appears to be a little blurry and I think in this particular instance, a crisper focus would enhance the shot more than a soft focus. |

Love at First Flightby goodtempoComment: One of my favorites so far. I love the title! I don't know if it's possible to have gotten the planes any crisper with them being in motion and so far away, but I think that may be the only thing I find less than perfect. Even so, with them being so small, it's hardly distracting from the overall appeal of the shot. Great fun. The clear blue sky couldn't have been more cooperating for a shot like this, huh. |
