Man, how I miss my Dr. Pepper, nice pic. Only wish you could have left that pole out of the right side, as it blends into the roof, making the building behind not look as sharp as it should.

The solid negative blurry space to the right draws my eyes away from the nail, which is fantastic, without that space on the right would have been a real high scorer, maybe from the right side would be better.

The border because it is so close to the color in the picture, but yet cleaner, becomes stronger, thus detracting from the photo, a simple black would have been better

Painting the Corners

Unlike most people who didn't like the border, I happen to think that the border helps to accentuate the proportion. It may also be that it reminds me of a computer baseball game, and it is the target that I am supposed to get the ball into for a strike. Because of that it seems to me to 'add' an element into the photo, making the corner for the baseball to hit. BTW, it is painting a corner, singular not plural corners. Well, congrats on the ribbon.
