Subtle Nuances Surprise Me Most ! Indians?by MonaComment: You are making this one tough to get...at least for me:( I see some things in this image that help to find surprise...like what might be in the woods? If you would like more of a critique on the image...I will be happy to, just email:) good luck. |

Shocking Messageby oskarComment: Very!! Shocking!! now lets talk abot the image:) when using a constant background even the littlest items can distract...like the speck just to the left of the ring. also the shadow cast from the light source is way to strong...maybe a second to camera left would have helped balance the light...hope this helped:) good luck! |

Swimming is so Relaxing!by wwjdwithcaComment: I almost missed the the fact someone is about to get a rude awakening:) Kids! You gotta love em:) Nice action shot...but so much going on behind the young man, you almost miss the true premise of the shot.could this have been taken from another angle? one with less distractions. hope this helped, good luck! |

The Ringby TooCoolComment: Lovely Model:) great expression...does say suprise...I wish the background were different. Either one of more depth...like a resturant? or a park? or just droped out completely like the night or the sky. hope this helped. Good luck! |

Surprise Prezzyby stuartComment: A snap shot style entry...tough to get a good feel of art or stock from this. No question of the surprise of a birthday present (or whatever celebration is at hand). Might have taken this shot and either rotated CCW about 4 degrees for balance...or rotated CW 30 degrees...for a more impact! Hope this helped:) good luck. |

It's not always what you expectby Bela45Comment: the premise is good. a bit staged (but of course most in this challenge are). The lighting is super and your color saturation is good. The angle of the cut also helps this image...I wonder if the feel of balance might have worked more if reversed? |

Dodging Birdsby SamaraComment: The young and the brave:) Kids reactions can be such fun...knowing that the young man would love to jump back but wanting to show his strengh at not being surprised! |

Happy Birthday!by WILDBLUEComment: Taking a good shot of an animal can be a bit tricky. would have had a great deal more impact for me if the dog seemed in to it as well. The lighting works, as does the festive feeling of the ribbon...has a portrait feel to it. Message edited by author 2003-12-01 00:16:50. |
