metallurgical engineering at nightby ursulaComment: I love the depth of this shot. Your choice of night as opposed to day time was perfect. just a tad over exposed (not to say I could have done any better) as far as the lights were concerned but still one of my top three for the challenge. |

Heaven's Goldby vtruanComment: This is one of my favorites for the challenge. your choice of subject is one that most would not consider. The angle you shot from was also unique. super job:) |

Architectual curves 1 by kosmikkreeperComment: My Favorite for the challenge...probably for a few others the compositon is right on and the black and white brings it home. 10 |

Quiet Reflectionby KatspetkatComment: Hi Katie
You did very well for your first time out. Some folks will try and try and never get out of the bottom 10%.
The journal is a bit blury and could have been rotated just a bit more. you were a little high in contrast ...loosing the writing on the page.
Different monitors will show this a little brighter . It is always best to turn down the over all contrast just a bit. there is a bar below the images that go's from white to black...you shoud be able to see each gradient distinctly different from the next all the way through the scale.
anyway...wonderful first attempt

A simple flowerby loboz33Comment: No doubt a lot of effort went into this...a seven for that but your subject is anything but mundane. A wonderful flower just the same:) |

Almost Gone by EddyGComment: I had come through and moved this to a nine from an eight:) I think I helped you beat me:) this was outstanding and worthy of a ribbon! Good job. Super idea with the laptop.
Congrats!
Richard
P.S.
Hard to believe this was given so many threes...there is no pleasing some folks. |

Hot Bath by Firstrich1Comment: Once again I gave myself about one hour to get this shot from camera to the challenge:) no time to make comments or pick a gallery to place this in. My wife does a great job of putting up with me and allowing herself to become a model. There is water in the tub as well as bubbles but the low light hides that truth. The water level could have been higher.
Thanks to all those that rated this so well....
To those that felt this rated a 1 or a 2 I sure would like to know how I failed your sense of even a three? but alas you are the very, very, very few:) you work out to be about 1 percent of the voting public and with that "Insignificant" Message edited by author 2004-02-18 03:29:36. |
