Distance and Lightby bpickardComment: This image really got my attentiion in my first look through. THe composition, lighting, textures and colors are excellent. I am, on second/third look bothered only by the blowout of the sky at the top, which is less the 10% of the image, the other 90% is great so we'll go with a 10 and a fav. |

Depressed & Lonelyby cpickettComment: The subject detail and composition are quite impressive. I think the hanging branches at the top left do not add any thing to the this image and they take away from the desolation of the background which adds, for me, to the depression of the image. Damn fine otherwise. |

Dark & Lightby HornOUBetComment: The color of the sky is very fine, as is the framing...sure wish you got rid of those power lines. |

1955by dragonladyComment: Our concept of time is, perhaps, colored by the fading of memory. Absolutely nothing wrong with this with its bright, gorgeous colors...if you are depicting 1955 everything would have bright, shiny and new and saturated with color of being new, not faded and old. People just seem too relate lack of color with the past....but this was a time capsule challenge for which this is perfect and not a nostagia challenge for which mono/duo tones might have been better. Great finish. Congrats on your top 20! Message edited by author 2005-08-17 13:00:45. |

Living Portrait In Wooden Frameby loriprophotoComment: The challenge description read that wood needed to be 'an important component of the composition' NOT the subject.
Lori I like your idea and this is wonderfully shot. Good job getting them cats to sit still. Message edited by author 2005-08-06 19:06:41. |
