A fitting end to an 85 year love story...

Pete passed away on 9/10/08, less than 2 months after Dorothy. He was as healthy as can be when she died. He spent the next month and a half getting all of their affairs in order, passing on prized possessions to family members and "wrapping up" all the details of their lives. He then got pneumonia and his 99 year old body that had been so healthy just couldn't hold up.

I think he was just heartbroken, missed the love of his life and his body decided it best if they were together.

Life is good.

Great shot! Gives a happy feel. Nice lighting on the dolls. Is the background a photo or the real thing? I assume a photo... if so good creative thinking... it works. If the real thing... even more impressive for getting the light just right.

Interesting shot. The moon looks a little unrealistically large. The moon also looks a bit bright for the lighting in the scene, i.e. the scene would be brighter with that large of a moon. I'm wondering how you accomplished the huge moon without a double exposure or adding it in photoshop. I think you're close to a really cool shot but it isn't quite there yet in my opinion.

Great lighting! It seems slightly oversharpened or something... I see a fair amount of white speckles and/or noise. Great image if there was a tad less noise.
