The Final Embraceby JohnnyPhDComment: Wow, even if it does look a little like an Athena poster! Bit too much negative space, I'd have cropped it tighter. Shame her back is slightly overexposed. There is something unsettlingly homoerotic about this though! Perhaps I would personally have liked an attempt to portray the woman with more softness or femininity as a contrast, but that's just me. |

Standing aloneby mian3010Comment: Nice light mist, some great colours in the sky. Wish there was more detail in the sky though, I'd have liked to see this half a stop to a stop darker. Not sure the background quite works with this lone tree, but maybe I'm too fussy... after all my time as a photographer I'm still searching for the elusive single tree shot that every photographer seems to have! |

Mye Blue Eyed Girlby h0bbelComment: Very important that the eyes are in focus in a portrait. The whole shot here is too blurry. |

Desaturation Studyby LuguerComment: Doesn't work for me, feels too contrived. Selective desat is a technique that many people use when the composition feels too cluttered, and I feel that may be the case here. I heavily dislike the magenta/purple. The part of the photo I do like is the red fringe at the top with the bells, and this is clumsily half included in the shot and out of focus. There is bad haloing around the horse and pole, as if you blurred everything else in Photoshop. Perhaps too much time spent staring at this in Photoshop has affected your judgement! |

Regenerationby robaComment: Oh, that is beautiul, I gave a sigh of appreciation just now when the shot loaded! Absolutely gorgeous. What delicious blues, and I love the crisp silhouette of the tree on the right. Mist is very atmospheric, and contrasts nicely with the sharp detail of the tree. There's something quite poignant about this tree in the middle of water, it works on many levels... life, death, clarity, mystery and I love the haunting stillness. |

Octoberby KivetComment: Rainbow not strong enough to make this shot worth it. Composition not strong. Sky overexposed. Foreground way oversharpened. Nice light and colours though. |

Graceby bubeltrubelComment: Beautifully exposed, nice even background and good light, although I don't like the shadow. Composition doesn't work for me though and bothers me the more I look at it. Use of negative space doesn't feel balanced. Not quite enough exploration of light, colour, textures and form to make me see this is a work of art rather than just a photo of flower. |

Two of Heartsby noranekoComment: Lovely subject, shame it's overexposed. Background doesn't quite work, the top right corner is too distracting. I feel like you've gone mad with the soft focus blur to disguise some of these issues. Composition doesn't work for me, too much going on at the bottom of the shot. Greens and yellows need some colour balancing. Swans could be sharper. |

Beccaby GatorguyComment: Lovely lighting, but OUCH MY EYES... talk about oversharpening. Professional and competent, but a little commercial for my taste. |
