Inner glowby timmiComment: This first thing that poped into my mind when this picture appeared was "I wonder how many comments you've gotten that say that you should have cloned out the rim of the glass/vase"... =] Very nice flower capture with a nice solid black background. |

Friends in Malibuby deadd0gComment: Nice capture. It reminds me of those "generic" pictures you see pre-installed in store-bought photo frames. =] (I won't mention the titled horizon 'cause I'm sure you've gotten enough of those comments...) |

Aging Ironby chasmoComment: In my opinion, this looks to much like "digital art" to me. |

Reluctant Modelby scrum8Comment: To me, the fuzziness around the subject detracts from this shot. It looks like you may have been attempting to remove the background? Better to try and get the background close to what you want at exposure time if at all possible. The lighting looks a bit flat as well, especially the bright area on the forehead. If you can't move your flash off the camera, perhaps you could try some natural light portraits with some white foamcore as a reflector for fill on the opposite side. |

Natural Beautyby labudsComment: Great model and a great opportunity for a portrait. Unfortunately, this looks too candid to me. The groom (?) in the background is especially distracting in this case. If you could have gotten the bride to stand 5 or 6 feet from a wall, set a large aperture on your camera and taken a shot, you would have had a potentially terrific portrait. |

Veronique by sahkoComment: Great model, nice pose! On my (calibrated) monitor, this has a "yellowish" tone to it that seems a little strange, so I wanted to mention it. (The grayscale on the voting page looks nice and gray in comparison). Adding a little bit of blue to the picture might help balance out the tones? Other than that, good job at meeting this challenge. |

Dadby GinaRothfelsComment: I think this could have been a good portrait, but the post-processing or in-camera effect has turned this more into "digital art" than a photograph. |

Model in daffodilsby KevinRiggsComment: First, let me say great model, great pose, great location for an "environmental" portrait. Meets the challenge very well. My only comment would be that the lighting looks a little "off". From the location of the catchlights in her eyes, it looks like you may have been using a direct flash? This could be part of it, or maybe it is just that the flash was too strong and didn't allow enough "ambient" exposure for the background? In any event, nice job. |

Little Princessby SonifoComment: Great subject for this challenge! My only comment is that the image has a greenish-cast on my (calibrated) monitor. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but wanted to point it out just in case. Other than that, can't think of anything else I would change! Nice job. |
