#21 - In the Nightby bobonacusComment: Striking and well-composed. The sky is just right, with the long horizontal bright area splitting the image into very dark foreground below and darker sky above. The upper sky retains just enough gradation of light to be interesting. The cluster of trees contrasts well with the uniformity of the other areas, and the stark artificial light provides a different contrast with the natural light, while bringing out detail and color that is pleasing even while harsh. Good choice of vantage point to have no obvious buildings cluttering up the image. |

Heart of Darknessby chaliceComment: Took a while to grasp the implied heart shape inside the curled tube. Very artistic. |

Color in a B/W Worldby tfarrell23Comment: Sure looks like a ViewMaster wheel, probably with the viewer in the background. Nice use of light and focus to bring out the color images in those tiny photos. I had one as a kid and still am fascinated by the 3-D effect. |

Enigmaby wildirisComment: Evokes memories of jellyfish. Perhaps water with a layer of oil on top and dribbles of several types of vinegar drifting down? |

untitledby pdxstocktonsComment: Vry pretty, with blues and purples working well against the red/brown/golds. Back of a leaf with dew drops? Lettuce with oil/vinegar dressing? |

zzzby jpdoomComment: Thumbnail does not do this justice. Texture reminds me of a painted plaster wall up close. |

eye on youby cenglishComment: Moth wing? Lighting brings out the texture well, and the bright diagonal adds interest. |

No Toliet Paper?by hyperfocalComment: Kitchen microplane grater? Nice job of capturing the texture. The black parts easily can be seen as handles sticking up from a metal surface. |

Holes of Albert Hallby onesaintComment: Speaker grill of a tny alarm clock? Curved because you had to clobber it? Maybe I should have stayed in bed a little longer. |
