It would have eben better if you framed it with the bushes below. I have several shots of this church and the bushes can frame it if you find the right angle :)

This is a good photo. I think however that the white background color not being highlighted/bright enough might cost you some points.

Another thing that might cost you is the lack of sharpness on the roosters.

Try a version of this in Black and white. It might stand out more since there is not much color to this photo.

It is framed very nice and the DOF does blurr out the background well.

I cannot vote on this since Greg told me this was yours, but I figured I would give you some input on what you could watch out for next time around on DPC (yeah they are a picky bunch). If I would have voted on it without knowing it was yours I would have given it a 5

This looks like galveston to me. I was there over the weekend. if it is, my bet this is the gas station entering the island on the left side of the 45. I was so close of photographing it too.
