Trafficby C-town driverComment: As much as I love VWs (I own one myself) I must deduct brownie points because the roofline of the building is not even and the frame/border is a bit distracting. However, the amount of details of the Golf and of the farthest building are nice and clear. Contrast/saturation is very good, as well. I give you a 7.
On a side note, do you visit vortex at all? |

The Recital by grigrigirlComment: How did I miss voting on this one? I know I didn't get to all of them but I'm sure I would have recognized this one. Great job with the desat and soft focus. And the slight vignetting is also a very nice touch as it adds to the emotion of the ballerinas. Great job! |

Three docksby MrAkamaiComment: This is interesting, I swear I wrote a comment last night but I guess I forgot to click on "Post" when I was done.
As you can see from my comments above, I did take this in the late afternoon around 5:30. The sun was setting and it cast a nice orange/red light. I compared both color, slightly desturated and b/w images before I decided on b/w. I felt it had more impact as a modified contrast b/w than if it had any color.
As far as showing more of the dock area, if I did that then you would see the other dock numbers and the ground which was not interesting. In fact, I even played with the idea of showing even less of the dock door and only the numbers but then some folks might not know what the partial dock door was so I showed it all.
Doors #1 and #3 are not visible because #1 is out of frame completely and the support pillar blocks #3. I guess you had to be very creative and imagine the other doors there instead of me showing all 3 of them.
Thanks to those who left comments for me! |

Three Gullsby scalvertComment: Great shot of the gulls at sunset. The focus and details are very good of the wet sand but lacking somewhat on the gulls themselves. I think the use of a flash would help bring those details out better. Cropping is also excellent. I would have liked to see the boat cloned out. 7 |

last one down...by theodor38Comment: I don't fully understand this photo maybe because I don't smoke. But focus is very good especially on the smoke itself and the burnt tobacco. |

Evening walkby AndelainComment: Nice family-type photo. Cropping is also good. I like the front/side lighting and it gives a nice outline of the people and hair. |

Lucky threesby asijComment: Nice overall composition, lighting is a bit strong and camera needs to be level. |

Angelsby buzzrockComment: Nice soft light allows for good details and skin tones. Nice job with DOF. |
