I was surprised I could get the shot in focus at all at f/1.8. I just autofocused on her ear, switched to manual to focus just a bit closer, tapped her shoulder, and took the photo as she turned around.

The original was in landscape orientation, but after I entered this in an "Eyes" photo challenge on worth1000.com I got a good suggestion on how to crop it.
