Stripesby kavamamaComment: I tend to be biased towards animal shots, I love them. But I think this one is particularly interesting beacause of the stripes. He also looks like he is sitting almost upright and leaning against the back of the chair. I do wish there was a light stripe over his eye so it was more visiible and could get more sense of his personality. I think the ear sticking up is great and the fact the he stayed still long enough to set up light and shot is testament either to his obedience or your skill as photographer-- i ll let you decide which : )

White on Blackby agwrightComment: I think you got me, at first I was sure this was a statue on second look of course it is not. The hair is good, and you caught a good expression on him, his eys are frozen yet alert, (good mime) Would have like to have seen slightly more light on his face, but generally a good capture. |

Comunionby vhzamoraComment: Hmm for me this shot is really made by the silhouetted tree on the left, the contrast coming in from the lamposts, and while it works for this challenge, sure ruins the landscape eh?
I like this shot the emptiness of it. Nice cloud too. |

Lavatera Leafby robsmithComment: The softness and gentleness your shot convey is a testimony IMO to your skill at lighting, really its a dying/dead leaf (i think), yet you have made it a thing of wonder, what an amazing job. It looks fragile and weathered, yet life seems to still be fitting in it. Quite curious how you got the lighting this way. Is it a lightbulb behind some kind of paper helping to soften it? simply lovely IMO |

shortcutby spidermanComment: The two things that 'get' me about this shot is the emptiness in it, I think it is great, and I love the black and white tones in contrast to the color people. The lines too are clear, simple and add to the perspective. All around really nice. very nice. |

Black and Blueby joebarComment: While this shot obviously has a lot of post processing, I think it is well done. The intense lighting from the bottom contrasted with dark top is a neat effect. Not sure about the x's is it x as in x-rated or x-ray or ....? Overall I figure it adds an artsy-ness to it. well done |

Engrainedby crabappl3Comment: I will be curious as to how your shot does in the end, I really like it, I like the curves at the edges of the wood. The colors are incredibly rich and I like the way you have composed it. The lighting feels warm. Curious what the spotting is on the top right in black area? Is that in the post processing? great shot |

Overby jimmythefishComment: Well, i am not completely sure what the contrast is per se(except b&w which was not how i understood the challenge but) , I can 't argue with the fact the this is a fabulous capture. It is clear your timing was perfect. I love the lower hand as it is still reaching, and the positioning of the legs. If I had a real request it would be to have seen more of his face, though I suspect the lighting impeded it? just a thought, very nice shot congrats |

"Love You....Great Grandma" by autoolComment: For a simple shot of two hands it wonderfully conveys a feeling (and a contrast). It is a moving shot, the title helps to convey the generations between them. The photo really causes me to think about all the stories these hands have to tell. Great job. |

Stretched Outby GiovanniComment: This looks a bit like my self portrait a while back hopefully you will do better than i did. Would like to see more contrast in light and dark and wish the tires on top and whatever else that is was cropped out. |
