Tempby jackal9Comment: The chosen forground object works well here though I'd like it to be a bit sharper. The choice of DOF is perfect though and the OOF background object mimics the foreground object a bit. |

Who goes thereby seeComment: The shallowness of the DOF does isolate this fellow however it may be a bit too shallow. The critter's tail being out of focus is a bit distracting.
Also, the lighting is very harsh and the subject, being in the middle, makes the image quite static. Cropping the OOF part on the right would probably help with that. |

Remnants of the Tidesby escapetoozComment: Nice use of the diagonal. Though the in focus shells are at or about the thirds point I feel the image would be much stronger if they were slightly lower in the frame and a bit to the left. Maybe even at a bit more extreme angle. |

The Lay Upby eaglebeckComment: Though you've captured some good action here the DOF needs to be shallower to blur the background better. Also, the main subject needs to be sharper. |

Mystery Womenby velazquezComment: Though an interesting idea the image is too small to be able to judge the details properly. |

Photographic LSDby SharQComment: To exploit the lines of the trees I think this would work better as a vertical shot. (still tilted though) |

Aloneby srdanzComment: Nice isolation. Me thinks your chess board is not too flat though. |

Winning Handby dcyoungComment: The shallow DOF nicely highlights the aces however I feel that the focused area is too central. Having the cards lower in the frame I think would make for a more dynamic image. |

Sand in my Feetby fas-ligandComment: Using shallow DOF for this type of image gives a very weird perspective. The DOF seems a bit too shallow as well since the foremost foot isn't entirely in focus. |
