Lonelyby loboz33Comment: This is a beautiful image. I really like the subject matter, composition and the choice of black and white, but I'm not entirely sure how this meets the shallow depth of field criteria.
If you'd like to point out how you feel this image adheres to the challenge rules, please respond to this comment and I'll rethink my vote...because I really like this shot. |

Every Droplet counts in the Distilleryby Harz_JoergComment: I predict this will ribbon and probably win, although that isn't a very hard prediction to make. Of course this image is striking because it's a waterdrop image, but the thing that I like the best is the symmetry as well as the bottle at the bottom of the image.
I was going to suggest having the bottle in the background flipped around so it appears upright in the waterdrop; but after thinking about it, I like this the way it is. I like how the water at the top is white against the orange and how the upright label in the background is recognizable because it's upright. Of course that's my opinion, others may feel differently. Nice work and contratulations! |

push pinsby shutterflyComment: This is an effect I don't find very appealing. It looks like this image might be fairly interesting and a good subject for the challenge. Unfortunately I can't get by my dislike of the effect to give the photograph the score it may deserve. |

Temptation by stickylizardComment: Beautiful subject, absolutely perfect for this challenge. I like how the fork and meat are symetrically located in the center of the frame while the dog has his head tilted. Great idea and well exectued, nice job! |

On the Throneby BigSmilesComment: I really like the color, composition and sharpness. The use of shallow DOF is great and doesn't detract from the image at all. Nice work. |

Hoar Frost and Holly by dsidwellComment: I really like the composition and the subject matter. The frost on the tips of the leaf add interest, depth and a detail to an already intricate subject. Black and white was the perfect choice, great work! |

Nemo: The Truth About Clown Fishby KINGComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
KING,
I have to agree, this image is extraordinarily sharp, I can see why though...I also have a 50 f/1.8. The first thing that grabbed me about this image was the colors of the rock in the upper left and the colors of the fish. The dark background works perfectly and the positioning of the fish (composition) is extremely well done. There really isn't much to critique about this image so I'll stop right here and say, great work!
