Herring Nightmareby PetRockComment: I am not competent enough to comment or compare entries to Ben's style so I am not going to try.
What an interesting photo this is. I really like the grain and the sense of movement the wavy lines give it .. the title is interesting and makes me look harder at the photo for the photographers meaning but I still attach my own story .. the tonal quality is wonderful, so many different shades and what really catches my eye is the chrome like shine in different areas .. an excellent shot, well seen and photographed. |

spurging aheadby tnunComment: I don't know enough about Ben's style to comment on that aspect of your photo. There is so much motion in this photo and I love the varied ways you made that happen .. the running couple, the dancing waves of motion blur/lines - the head gear on the front runner looks like some kind of stuffed animal, maybe a sheep - adding a touch of whimsy .. the slight tilt in the road makes it look like they are really getting a workout - Interesting shadows, wonderful pping .. this is a very well done shot. |

In God's shadowby lavi83Comment: I don't know enough about Ben's style to comment on that aspect of your photo. An interesting abstract with a very good title as it adds a layer of meaning - I like the soft blur and the tonal qualities. |

have you felt his emotion?by lobrinComment: I don't know enough about Ben's style to comment on that aspect of your photo. I really enjoy this shot ... I especially like how the bottom half is a checkered blur - the tilt of the man's head, the expression on his face makes me wonder what he is looking - the b/g curtains kind of match the f/g blur - the veins in his neck add to the intensity of the photo - I feel like he is completely unaware you are taking his photo - very well seen and photographed. |

The Ballerinaby JopsyDaisyComment: I don't know enough about Ben's style to comment on that aspect of your photo. However, I really like this shot and the possibilities it has for so many stories . Why is she walking through a field in such a delicate dress .. is she taking a short cut to meet someone? I love the sepia, the delicate edge of the dress, the foreground bokeh - beautifully done. |

Silver Dollar Diner, Newport News, VAby vawendyComment: I have never read such a gracious note regarding the loss of a ribbon via a DQ - grace under fire doesn't even come close to your remarks. I only hope I would be so thoughtful if or probably when it happens to me. But I wouldn't be hehehe |

It's All In My Headby tfarrell23Comment: I really don't know Ben's style well enough to draw comparisons so I am just going to comment on your photo to the best of abilities - sorry :(
With that said I just want to say that I find this shot creative, ethereal, whimsical and a joy to look at. Looks like an old log cabin with plank floors, a wonderful fireplace with a rocking chair to rock away the cares of the day. Yes, I love making up stories to go with photos. This shot should score very well and I wish you luck even though you don't need it. |
