You asked for feedback and negative comments to help reconcile your score with the positive comments. Magical to me, but likely static and dull to the average viewer. This is another exercise in the arrangement of a still life. I really like this image, a nice strong funk. I suppose a square crop, or 4x5, to bring in the symmetry you sought in your arrangement. Gave it a 6.

I am not competent enough to comment or compare entries to Ben's style so I am not going to try.
What an interesting photo this is. I really like the grain and the sense of movement the wavy lines give it .. the title is interesting and makes me look harder at the photo for the photographers meaning but I still attach my own story .. the tonal quality is wonderful, so many different shades and what really catches my eye is the chrome like shine in different areas .. an excellent shot, well seen and photographed.

I like this and keep coming back to it, so it does draw me in in some way. But I also keep finding that I like it more in the thumbnail than the full image where it seems too contrived, in the sense of being set up and with all the blur/distortion created by obvious camera movement rather than being an image that captures a moment or movement spontaneously, which IMO is a Ben hallmark.

When the mundane turns sisnister... I think I'll have the salad.

I shouldn't like it since it takes such a toll on my (our) eyes ... but I do like it for all its light feeling and humour.

7 for making me laugh and actually creating an interesting blur.
