Shadowsby rickhd13Comment: Simple, striking, and elegant. I would love this shot late afternoon with the sun striking the building. I imagine you get amazing color shifts. Nice work. 8 |

Three Blue Buildingsby BikeRacerComment: Love the strong colors in this shot. The sail 's shadow is unexpected and blends in well with the car and three folks walking. Hmm, three windows per level, three modes of transport, three cars, three sets of barred doors...Threes all over! I'd like to see the same building later in the day with some different sunlight color, but this is still a really well composed shot. 10 |

"Hey, Mrs. D., can Joe come out to play?"by martinawComment: My folks have a cat named DiMaggio. We got him the week Joe died. Nice title. Go Yankkes. :) On the technical side- this should would have benifitted from some stronger lighting. It's pretty dark, and even some minor tweaking in levels might give it more pop. I'd also use just one baseball in the image. When I was playing yardball growing up we only had 1 ball. :) A brighter better image would have this an 8. As is, 6. |

Lightsby thumperComment: This is a beautiful shot. Black and white is an excellent choice. I love the look on the baby's face. This is a really great spin off the typical nekkid baby picture. 9 |

Lincoln Center Reflectionsby BikeRacerComment: Great shot! Nice strong center focus, I love the square windows on the one side and the arches on the other. The reflections from the recent rain really add to the moment. The thing that makes this shot is the cop walking across the foreground. Great job. 9 |

A Carnie's Life For Meby DefyTimeComment: Summertime! Ah, the visions of my childhood. :) I love the motion in this one. Great exposure, great choice of foreground element in the cottoncandy/funnel cake stand. 9 |

Province Houseby zeke123caComment: Okay, you have multiple sources here. The problem comes from how far back you are when the flash goes off. Most camera flashes will only go about 10 feet with 5 really being the optimal range. The biggest thing you can do to improve the shot is move forward. That gets the flash into a range it can actually work. |

Wet New England Roadby RatedRComment: Zoom! I love these kinds of shots. :) Great feeling of speed and movement. I might have liked a tighter crop, there a good bit of extra space to the right. I'd also clone out the phone line, or take the shot a bit later in the evening so they are less visable. 8 |
