Excellent! Eyecatching, provokative, and a brilliant illusion. I can easilly see this on the wall of a gallery. Brilliant, 10

Very, very cool visual effect. Nice use of a dramatic sky and backdrop to give the image added depth.

I'm embarassed to say that I've never read the book! Because I'm missing the literary reference, I have no clue what the illusion is supposed to be. :( With that said, this is a nice abstract. The out of focus isn't adding anything to the image for me. But again, I'm missing the reference in any case. :)

The scary thing is I just looked at this and actually knew which zoo you shot it at. :)

Okay- well this fits the challenge to be sure. Metal in both the car and the bridge. The problem is the composition doesn't really do much more then that. The large mass of the bridge ends up cutting the image in half. The upper bridge work is so cluttered looking that it's challenging to find a point for the eyes to rest. In this case, I think getting closer to some of the bridge work might help improve the story here. When I look at an image, there's always a story there. Even in abstracts. The challenge as a photographer is to try and tell that story in a compelling way. What is it that you want me to see here- other than a bridge? Is it the speed of the car? Is it the might of the bridge span? Find that element, focus on it, and you have a stronger composition. Hope this helps some!

Excellent minmalism here. I'd like a smidge more lamp post, possibly better positioned along one of the thirds lines.

I loved this shot. As a strong believer in the fun of the fish, it was awesome to see the lens used well. 10.5 DX?
