This shot is great! I like that there is just enough information to get that she is on a subway, or bus with the handrail, and the slight details in the blur. If it was not called subway you can still see where she is. This is a case where "less is more" works beautifully.

I don't understand some of the responses here. Some of you are displaying your ignorance. This shot is not edited any more than usual, and this is not a "painting". This looks like a really well done hand tinted black and white photograph. What is the big deal.

Even if this photo were only in black and white, it would still be a really good photo. It displays emotion, which is probably one of the hardest things to capture. Heida has a very good eye for photography, and is a very good photographer despite what some of the comments say.

As far as the comments go about being an artist as opposed to a photographer, that is a major compliment. Hopefully we will all graduate from just being a photographer to becoming more of an artist.

Nice work Heida, always look forward to seeing your work.
