Coming Homeby MAKComment: A very interesting attempt to do something with the grain, unlike many photos here which just look like regular photos with photoshop noise added |

girl with flowerby petrakkaComment: Very creative and beautifully subtle lighting. That lone twig on the left is distracting, but I realize that without spot-editing there wasn't a lot you could do (cropping would ruin the composition). 7 |

Painted Skyby PhilosComment: A beautiful postcard shot, but the "delicate" connection is a bit tenuous. |

What a delicate balanceby akshayComment: Good photo, but would be much better if cropped significantly to focus the attention on the tiger and the people. |

Old Fashioned Portraitby beautyqn25Comment: Very nice portrait, love the look on her face. Unfortunatelly, the grain doesn't help this photo at all, it somehow just looks like Photoshop noise that's been added for no good reason (but you are not alone, there are quite a few good photos in this challenge that would look better without the "grain"). |

Cathedral at early nightby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Excellent photo, but I'd like it more without the grain. I know, that's what the challenge calls for, but I just don't see how the grain helps photos like this one. |

Nakedby gwendyComment: Fabulous photo! The grain is neither here nor there, but I'm not going to take any points for that. The lighting is just great and the shallow DOF works very well. The simple composition works too, although I wander if including the whole crest would have been even better. 9 |

Sands of Timeby sulisComment: Great idea! Too bad about the pixelation, this looks like it was shot with a camera-phone. But you've really captured the concentration of some very delicate work. 6 |

chinaby LenMComment: VERY interesting composition and use of high-key, but the soft focus on the flower pattern doesn't work for me. Also, I'm guessing this would do better in the Light on White challenge. |
