church on the hill by claudia26Comment: Hey, that's Le Corbusier's Notre Dame du Haut! Great angle. The only thing that bothers me is that there are obvious halos around the dark edges, like you used too much large radius sharpening. |

Gobletsby ShmeeComment: The lighting and colors are great, but the tilt is strange |

A little bit flirtyby dcb300Comment: Great expression, but the soft look doesn't really work when everything looks equally blurred - then it just looks like an out of focus image |

Moon at Dusk (Waxing Gibbous)by signal2noiseComment: The details in the Moon are excellent, but the photo would be far more powerful if the background were truly jet-black (a very easy fix using either levels or curves in any image editing program) |

Largamente by banmornComment: The multicolored paper shots are so tired on DPC that they have to hit everything just right. Well, yours does! The fine texture (never easy at 640!), deep DOF, full tonal range, good composition, and of course the colors. |

Flying Southby vasilkovayaComment: Great composition and lighting, but too many props. Loosing the Lufthansa lanyard and the plastic bracelet would have made for a better photo, even if the airport theme wouldn't have been obvious. |

definition of portrait - likeness of person or animal (this is an animal!)by rozComment: Feeling a bit defensive? ;-) Don't worry, your photo stands on its own. The lighting is excellent, really focuses the attention on the face and horn, while still leaving enough on the background to add depth. If it gets voted down by others, I'd expect it would be for lack of "wow"-factor, rather than for subject matter. 8 |

Shadowsby mistchild2008Comment: Oh, that's exactly like my cat, who passed away last year. Love the soft, textured lighting. |
