Excellent idea. I don't think the white border is necessary, but the image more than makes up for it. Nice use of negative space. 8.

My primary complaint on this shot would be the darkness on the bottom of the scoop of ice cream that's still in the scooper.

While this seems to slightly meet the challenge, it doesn't express the theme well. Also, the colors and contrast are a little drab - possibly due to the light through the clouds.

A good idea, but a huge portion of your shot is used up trying to indicate to me what the intended subject is. That seems to ruin it for me.
