Chaise Pet.by Dan_CottleComment: Extra marks for patience in setting this up, or for having amazingly well-trained pets, or for being willing to stand between them and their favourite treats!
Composition spot on, the skirting board line on the third, the size of the animal mirroring the line of the chaise and throwing a light top right to lift the background.
Excellent and creative idea, very well executed. |

The sweetest thingby rmezzoComment: Great use of high key and letting the head and hair blur slightly to give a very soft and appealing image. Wonderful expression, definitely lives up to the title! |

Watchful eyesby carofoComment: Great playful shot. Balancing the greens of the eyes off the grass and leaves works really well, and allowing the grass to blur out in the foreground pushes the eye into the shot and the main subject. I also love the circular shape of the leaves that mirror the eyes and act as a visual stop to keep the point of interest firmly on the cat. |

- Nature's GEM -by andrewtComment: Great contrast in the skin against the soft lighting on the water. You've held it right on the limit of sharpening when it would have been easy to just overdo it. Very well seen. |

Light Kissed Cheekby M_JayneComment: Great to see such a delicate balance and tone in a shot. The softness of the rug gives a warm and gentle background whilst helping give diffuse light back up into the image to balance out the main source. The baby's pose is so relaxed and natural and the whole effect is superb. |

One and lonely.by anferhComment: 9 for having the nerve to enter something this minimalist and pulling it off. Crop is perfect and the post is essential. Just enough snow to give the impression of coldness without making the elements indistinct. Brilliant. |

Taj Mahalby tyt2000Comment: Wonderful balance between the two main elements of the shot. Cloudy overcast look to the sky is reflected in the downcast pose of the boy and there is clear separation between the power and wealth of the Taj Mahal facing out of the shot whilst the boy and camel are at right angles to it, ignoring it and passing it by. |

Dead Calmby GIS_boyComment: Perfect blend of elements. Great balance of the reflections of the masts versus the horizontal elements. Needs the low cloud to give a strong broad horizontal element and the cloud also blocks the stronger light allowing the softer tones to come through in the sky and water. Beautiful colours to finish off. 10. |

Portrait of a Predatorby JedusiComment: Like the isolation of the white against the neck and background. Crisp, clean shot and a decent result in a competitive challenge.
Now put the 100-400 down and back slowly away from the raptor centre Steve - how am I going to get any of my zoo shots over 6 if you keep hogging those slots ;-) |
